What we collect, and why
Moral Intention Analyst exists to support reflection on sensitive questions, so we keep data handling narrow: we collect what the product needs to work, we never sell it, and we never use your content to train AI models.

Who we are
Moral Intention Analyst (“MIA,” “we”) is operated at moralintention.com. The analytical methodology is authored by Dr. A.C. Ping of Ethics Advisory Services. For anything in this policy, contact support@moralintention.com.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile image from that provider instead of a password.
- Workspace content. The cases, analyses, notes, and preferences you create. Each workspace also keeps an audit trail of actions taken in it.
- Content you submit for analysis. Text and attachments are processed to produce the analysis. Attachments are not written to our database.
- Technical data. IP addresses on the public demo endpoint, kept briefly for rate limiting and pruned on a rolling basis, plus standard server logs from our hosting provider.
- Usage analytics. Aggregated, cookieless page analytics (Vercel Analytics). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are first-party session cookies that keep you signed in.
How we use it
To provide the service, keep it secure, respond when you write to us, process subscriptions, and send transactional email such as password resets. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your content never trains a model. Analysis runs through Anthropic’s API, which does not train models on API inputs or outputs. We make the same commitment on our side.
Workspace isolation
Every workspace is a separate tenant, enforced with row-level security in the database itself — not just in application code. Your cases are queryable only through your own workspace.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Anthropic — runs the AI analysis (Claude).
- Neon — hosts our Postgres database.
- Vercel — hosts the application and provides aggregated analytics.
- Stripe — handles Pro payments. Card details go to Stripe directly; we never see or store them.
- Resend — delivers transactional email, such as password resets.
- Google / Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and workspace data for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and its workspace, email support@moralintention.com from your account address and we will remove it. Rate-limiting records on the public endpoint are pruned automatically by age.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time via the address above. If you are in the EU or UK, these are your rights under the GDPR; we honor the same requests from everyone, everywhere.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as hashes, workspaces are isolated by database-enforced row-level security, and the application ships with a strict content security policy. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Children
MIA is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use after a change means the current version applies.
